Internet Banking
Overview
BTG's Internet Banking application is a real-time solution that allows a bank's customers to access their accounts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via the World Wide Web using standard Internet browser software.
Internet Banking was specially designed and developed by Baltic Technology Group web application development specialists for one of the largest commercial banks in Latvia. Development was done using JAVA/J2EE, Servlet, JSP, XSLT, and ORACLE technologies applying a 3-tier application model.

The Internet Banking application has a customer-friendly interface and supports English, Latvian, and Russian languages.
Internet Banking has a multi-layered information security system and uses up-to-date information encryption technology to prevent unauthorized access to customer data.
Functional Overview
- Access banking services through the Internet 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- Get information about current account status and transactions
- Obtain account transaction history
- Pay bills and transfer money
- Execute regular, pre-set automatic payments
- Get information about daily currency exchange rates
- Perform currency exchanges using both contractual and market rates
- Set additional options for payments such as payment order expediting and intermediary bank specification
- Create and select from consignee list (payee, payee bank, account #)
- Access and select from catalogue of banks (BIC code, bank name, type)
- Send email messages to a specific bank employee or department
- Strong user authentication and identification process using Vasco Digipass devices, as well as specialized SW installed on mobile phone.
